8 Girls Basketball Student Athletes Receive Postseason Recognition.

The Village Girls Varsity Basketball Team recently had 8 team members receive post season accolades for this past season. Of note, only 5 total freshman were named to the All District Team, with 3 of the total honorees representing The Village School. The future is bright for the Lady Vikings Basketball team.

Junior Shaniya Williams took home 3 awards: First Team All District (6A-4), Honorable Mention All State (6A), Academic All State

Freshman Toni Ademuwagun took home First Team All District (6A-4) after a tremendous season and was the only freshman named to the first team.

Freshman Amanda Rossini was named to Second Team All District (6A-4).

Freshman Nyla Singleton and juniors Brynn Hayes & Imogen King were named Honorable Mention All District (6A-4).

Additionally, the teams two seniors, Tisha Dumrongthai and Madeline Yeh were named to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Academic All State Team.
